Ex-Midland Railway 0-6-0 2F No 3052 is seen emitting a lot of dirty smoke whilst standing on the down goods line at Washwood Heath Sidings circa 1948. Although its a few months since the demise of the LMS this scene is still "grouping" in atmosphere even down to the dirty LMS livery on the locomotive. The Dug Out Sidings which were part of the up sidings are visible behind the locomotive and on the left of the photograph. A member of the MR's '1357' class, No 3052 was built by R Stephenson & Co in January 1880 and after being renumbered on 23rd April 1949 by British Railways as No 58202 remained in service just a short time being withdrawn from Saltley shed in April 1950.
