View of Washwood Heath Sidings No 5 Signal Box seen from the Running Road to the Dugout which ran parallel to the main Birmingham to Derby line. To its right can be seen Washwood Heath No 6 Signal Box which Bob Essery states was opened on 24th June1930 at the same as Washwood Heath No 5 Signal Box. The former controlled traffic passing over the hump whilst No 6 box worked the remaining sidings. 24th August 1969
