View of six five-plank open wagons employed by HE Bomford, an Agricultural Merchant based in Wixford, being used to carry coal and container traffic. HE Bomford had offices other than in Wixford including Alcester and as the wagon on the left is numbered '12' must have had a considerable level of business in this part of the county to justify this number of wagons. This postcard was actually commissioned by HE Bomfords and as such used to convey messages to their clients in lieu of letters which would need typing or by telephone when few farmers would have one.
