LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham
Wixford Station: mrwix727
An Edwardian view of Wixford station and platform which shows
the station's simple passenger facilities circa 1905. It is believed that the
part of the structure with the roof was the booking office whilst the other
section housed the waiting room and toilets. The figure on the right is clearly
the station porter however, the other person on the left, might either be a
member of staff working in the goods yard or a member of the public. Next to
the tall oil-lit lamppost is a large porters barrow, whilst also of note is the
single faced station nameboard and the steps to the road.
