Looking south-east with the line to Water Orton on the right and the old track to Hampton on the left. The water tank on the Hampton branch is the same as that seen in image 'mrwj1174'. The large building with chimney stack behind the bridge carrying Station Road over the railway is Birmingham Corporation's Pumping Station for their Water Works. On the right beneath the bracket signal is a recent installed sign with the legend 'Car 6 Stop' indicating where the driver of a DMU with six cars should stop. There were others too, for four and two car sets of DMUs.
