The last carriage appears to be an old six-wheel brake complete with side ducket for the guard to look out. The open window suggests that the guard has recently opened it whilst the train stands at the platform. The second carriage is a clerestory coach is a 1st/3rd composite coach with Third Class compartments on the left and First Class compartments on the right. The livery of both coaches would be maroon with gold/black lining. With its raised centre section, a clerestory coach was designed to provide additional light and fresh air to each compartment.
