LMS Route: Birmingham New Street to Nuneaton

Water Orton Station: mrwo1038

Looking towards Nuneaton with Water Orton station in the distance and Water Orton sidings on the left circa early 1950s. All the open wagons seen in the photograph are empty and the siding on the right, nearest the running lines, appears to be overgrown. The footpath between the sidings and running lines are testament to the number of railwaymen who each day walked between the station and the sidings and marshalling yard.
