Looking East towards Stratford upon Avon showing Burton Bassett Platform's building now abandoned. The Warwick to Banbury road bridge is evident in this 1951 photograph with the station structure open to the elements. The platform was only the length of one carriage as it was only used by workmen travelling to the adjacent quarries. The original Warwick Road station which opened in 1871 was sited the other side of the road bridge but only lasted only a few months before it was closed.
