This close up of image 'smje11' shows the main station building situated on the up platform. Direct access to the platform from the station approach was via a path alongside the nearest elevation where two LMS poster boards were mounted. The station building housed a booking office (nearest to the camera), a booking hall and ladies waiting room whilst at the far end was a Gentleman's WC and urinal.
