Looking towards Stratford upon Avon with the main station building being located on the down platform. The original E&WJ signal box was sited on the down platform behind the station sign as indicated by the opening under the platform. This opening was where the point rodding and wires for the signals and crossings exited to their relevant positions. The holes in the platform face either side of the opening were where the brackets were installed to distribute the wires and rodding.
