Looking west towards Stratford upon Avon in the penultimate month prior to its closure on 7th April 1952. The station has changed little since it was opened on 1st June 1871 and being in a rural area would have attracted only a few passengers to either Towcester or Stratford upon Avon. Its near neighbour managed to stay open for a further twelve years closing on 2nd November 1964.
