This close up of image 'smjk23' shows the goods yard and shed that was opposite to the signal box. The timber built store which butted up to the goods yard on the right still bears the legend 'LMS'. The layout of the station with its long sidings at either end gives the impression of a double track route. The cattle pens were to the left of the Midland style fencing seen in the foreground.
