Close up of image 'smjk26' showing the larger replacement passenger waiting room provided by the SMJ on the up platform. The fencing is of the normal 'picket fence' style which used vertical slats compared to that seen on the extension from Stratford upon Avon to Broom which copied the Midland Railway's design which had sloping slats. The attractive flower bed in front of the fencing shows the station staff have continued to maintain its best kept station reputation established in 1912 when they won the SMJ's award.
