Close up of image 'smjk27' showing Kineton station's abandoned main passenger building which stood on the down platform. The building was built of brick although stone blocks were used on the corners as a decorative feature. In the centre between the two parts that projected on to the platform is the canopy that was later provided to protect passengers. The large windows facing the platform were built with a stone surround incorporating the lintel and sill. The side windows were however built to a more basic design having only a plain lintel over the window.
