LMS Route: Stratford Midland Junction - The Shakespeare Route

Ex-LMS 4F 0-6-0 No 44121 slows down to hand in the staff for the section from Broom to Stratford Old Town on 19th June 1954. The locomotive is at the head of a frieght from Gloucester and will proceed to Clifford Sidings before it picks up up the staff for the next section of single line to Ettington. Built at Crewe works in July 1925, No 44123 was to remain in service until June 1965 when it was withdrawn from 85B Horton Road shed in Gloucester to be scrapped.
