Ex-MR 3F 0-6-0 No 3884 proceeds towards Ettington with a two-coach local service on 15th May 1942. In the distance, on the right behind the locomotive is Lucy's Mill. A Johnson MR class 1873 design, No 3884 was built by Kitsons Ltd in October 1899 and was to remain in service until November 1960 when it was withdrawn from '21A' Saltley shed to be scrapped during February 1961 by Crewe works.
