LMS Route: Stratford Midland Junction - The Shakespeare Route

Ex-LMS 4F 0-6-0 No 43822 fully coaled and watered for its next trip stands at Stratford upon Avon shed on 6th April 1952. This was the day after working the last 6:50 pm Blisworth to Stratford upon Avon passenger service. The last passenger train in the reverse direction, the 6:40 pm Stratford upon Avon to Blisworth service, was worked by ex-LMS 0-6-0 4F No 44525. Note the former Midland Railway tender, more associated with Midland Railway 3F locomotives, and the stencilling on the smokebox was added in Blisworth by railway enthusiasts.
