E&WJR and SMJ - Locomotives and Rolling Stock: smjsa334

A late Edwardian view of rebuilt E&WJR 0-6-0 No 3 posed alongside Stratford upon Avon shed's coal stack. The Belpaire firebox indicating that this photograph was taken after 1904 when the locomotive was rebuilt which also involved a new cab spectacle plate and it was fitted with vacuum brakes.. The man on the footplate is Mr Hirons, the Stationmaster of Stratford-upon-Avon Old Town whilst the man on the ground wearing a bowler hat is Mr Bradshaw, the locomotive Foreman.
