E&WJR and SMJ - Locomotives and Rolling Stock: smjsa50

Ex-E&WJR 0-6-0 No 16 leaves the station on 11th April 1924 with a two coach passenger train for Broom Junction. On the right is another Beyer Peacock locomotive about to leave Stratford on Avon shed whilst to the left cattle wagons can be seen stabled on the yards sidings. The white staining on the bottom section of cattle wagon is the result of lime being used to clean and sanatize the wagons after their being fouled by cattle during transportation.
