LMS Route: Trent Valley Line

Bulkington Station: lnwr_bulk1610

View of Bulkington station from the road bridge above the down slow platform whilst a goods train passes through the station on the up line. Whilst the waiting room on the island platform is of a similar size to that seen on the down slow platform, it has a hipped roof and two small windows in the gable wall. This photograph was taken at the same time as the image seen in 'lnwr_bulk1608' as is evidenced by the ladder leaning against the lamppost on the up platform. The lack of signal box and the short signal at the end of the platform which would soon be replaced by one of the LMS' tall version as seen in image 'lnwr_bulk1121' indicates that this must be a 1920s view of the station before closure.
