Birmingham New Street Station: lnwrbns_str1789

Looking West from the end of the newly constructed Platform 10 whilst above the new bridge carrying Hill Street seen above on 22nd May 1965. To its left the bridge under construction requiring its side walls to be finished is that seen in image 'lnwrbns_str1788'. The intersection of these two bridges is where the entrance gates to Queens Drive once stood. On the right of the photograph are the remains of the original Platform 4, later renumbered in 1946 as Platform 7, whilst in the centre is one of the contractor's site huts.
