A 1966 view looking towards the former GJR arrival platform now home to Curzon Street's fruit wharf

A 1966 view looking towards the former GJR arrival platform now home to Curzon Street's fruit wharf. Only the track devoid of wagons entered the shed, the wagons on the right being stabled against buffer stops. Adjacent to the last wagon, on the left and part hidden by long grass, the capstan which would have been used to pull the wagons forward can be seen. The grain warehouse on the right stands on the site of the GJR's departure platform and part of the legend London Midland Scottish Railway can be seen under the eaves. On the left are the tracks leading to the Top Yard via Curzon Street level crossing. For internal views of this shed see images 'lnwrcs2127', 'lnwrcs2128', 'lnwrcs2153' and 'lnwrcs2114'.
