LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Wixford Station: mrwix585

Looking towards Broom Junction and beyond the road bridge towards Wixford station's goods yard on 13th June 1934. The platform buildings have been replaced compared to image 'mrwix727' and now include an timber boarded office and passenger facilities. The north ground frame (Stage) which controlled access to the siding was operated from the hut located below the bridge. The siding at Wixford was in reality built as a loop and could be accessed from either end. The south ground frame (Stage) was built on the other side of the track to the north frame and was located at the end of the short spur which acted as a trap for the siding (see 'mrwix1363').
