Wixford Station: mrwix590

Ex-MR 0-6-0 4F No 44013 with a MR Deeley tender is seen heading for Broom with just a brake van in tow on 11th May 1959 some nine years after the station closed. The barrow crossing seen in 'mrwix589' has been removed whilst the only platform structures left is the brick built gentleman's urinal and an unknown structure. Built at Derby works in 1921 No 44013 remained in service until October 1963 when it was withdrawn from Leicester shed to be scrapped by Derby works the same month.
